Privacy Policy

Nazareth Transportation and Tourism Company Ltd. (hereinafter: the “Company”) makes extensive efforts to protect your information (hereinafter: “you” or “the users”) and acts in accordance with the Protection of Privacy Law, 5741–1981 (hereinafter: the “Protection of Privacy Law”) and the regulations promulgated thereunder.

The Company’s services are not intended for minors, and the Company does not knowingly collect personal information relating to minors. Users under the age of 18 are required to obtain the consent of a parent or legal guardian for the provision of information. If the Company becomes aware, through a direct inquiry or by any other means, that a minor has provided personally identifiable information on the website, the Company will make reasonable efforts to delete such information.

This Privacy Policy is drafted in the masculine form for convenience only.

The purpose of this Privacy Policy document is to explain to users of the Company’s website (hereinafter: the “Website”) and/or application (hereinafter: the “Application”) the terms governing the provision and use of personal information through the Website and/or the Application. The legal basis for processing any personal information collected from you through your browsing of the Website and/or use of the Application; the purposes for which such information will be used; the manner in which information provided by you may be disclosed to third parties; and the use of “cookies” or files or tags on the Website and/or the Application, all as detailed below:

  1. Your use of the Website and/or the Application, including registration, browsing, or logging into the Website and/or the Application, constitutes your confirmation that you have read this Privacy Policy and the Company’s procedures set forth herein, and that you agree to the Company’s use of information relating to you, including the processing (including collection, use, disclosure, retention, or transfer) of information, in accordance with the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to any of the terms of this Privacy Policy, you must refrain from using the Company’s services and from providing or allowing the collection of personal information about you (for example, by uninstalling the Application or ceasing to browse the Website).
  2. The information held by the Company about you may be stored and processed by means of computer files and/or written records.
  3. For your information, you are not legally required to provide personal information; however, certain services offered on the Website and/or the Application require the provision of such information. Accordingly, you acknowledge that failure to provide certain information may prevent the Company from providing you with the requested services.
  4. Nothing in this Privacy Policy obligates the Company to collect or retain information, and the Company may, at its sole discretion, delete or refrain from collecting and retaining any information.

The Company collects personal information from various sources, including: information you provide directly to the Company; information collected through cookies and similar technologies; information received from third parties (such as service providers acting on behalf of the Company); and information available from public sources. During your use of the Website, the following types of information may be collected:
    1. Information provided proactively – information provided to the Company at your initiative during your use of the Website and/or in the course of contacting the Company by other means and/or in the course of receiving services from the Company. This may include the following types of information:
      • Contact details (name, email address, mailing address, telephone number, fax number);
      • Images and video collected through security cameras installed on buses;
      • Information regarding services you received from the Company or in which you expressed interest, including details of bus routes you customarily use;
      • Demographic data (age, gender, residential address, etc.);
      • Any additional information you choose to provide.
    2. Submission of résumés and recruitment processes

When applying for a position with the Company, you will be asked to provide personal details, including your full name, email address, mobile phone number, education and employment history, professional skills, and any additional information included in your résumé and/or in other documents you choose to attach as part of your application. The Company will use this information to review your candidacy, manage the recruitment process, and make a decision regarding your employment. If no suitable position is available at the time your résumé is submitted, the Company may retain your personal details and résumé in its candidates database for a period of 24 months, for the purpose of considering your candidacy for future positions and contacting you if a suitable match is found.

    4. Information collected by technical/computerized means – including:
      • Cookies and similar technologies – pieces of information stored on your computer and associated with information about you. Some cookies are deleted when you close your browser, while others are stored on your computer’s hard drive or your mobile device, enabling the Website to identify your device during future visits. Accordingly, the Website and/or the Application contain cookies and other local files. The Company may use cookies or configuration files stored in your browser or on your computer’s hard drive or mobile device to obtain information about your general internet usage. Cookies and other files containing data transferred to your computer and/or mobile device help the Company improve the Website and provide enhanced and personalized services, and also enable the Company to prevent fraud and/or misuse.

        The legal basis for processing information contained in cookies and other files is your consent to the Website’s terms of use, including this Privacy Policy, and/or the Company’s legitimate interests in enabling efficient, convenient, and secure use of the Website and/or the Application. You may block the automatic creation of cookies, in whole or in part, by activating certain browser settings; however, if you select overly restrictive settings, you may not be able to access certain parts of the Website.
      • Log files, including: referring pages/exit pages, IP addresses, browser information, cookies, Internet Service Providers (ISP), platform types, and date/time stamps. This information is not linked to other data that reasonably enables personal identification. The Company uses this information to manage the Website, diagnose server issues, analyze trends, and track aggregated user traffic, including for statistical purposes.
      • Geographical and location data: Through systems and/or software supporting the operation of the Application/Website, the Company collects geographical location data, real-time location data, and travel routes. Accordingly, the Application/Website collects technological data, including GPS signals and signals from other sensors provided by your device, for the purpose of providing services, including route planning services, travel history, and optimization of the services provided by the Company.

        It is clarified that geographical location data is collected after you approve the use of the GPS data of the mobile device on which the Application is installed. For the purpose of personalizing services and improving service quality and user experience, the Application may collect background location data even when you are not actively using the Application. You may disable such data collection by changing your device settings.
  6. Analytical Tools
    1. Use of Google Analytics
      • We use a tool called Google Analytics to collect anonymous statistical data regarding how you use our Website. Such data includes, for example, how often you visit the Website, which pages you view, and which websites you visited prior to accessing our Website. We use this information to improve our Website and services.
      • It is important to note that we do not combine information collected through Google Analytics with personally identifiable information.
      • Google has access to the information collected via Google Analytics, but its use and sharing of such information are limited by the Google Analytics Terms of Service and Google’s Privacy Policy.
    2. Use of AppsFlyer
      • We use a tool called AppsFlyer, a mobile attribution and marketing analytics platform, to better understand how you use our services. AppsFlyer collects certain information, including:
      • Identifiers and technical data: IP address, IDFA (Identifier for Advertisers) or Android ID;
      • Information regarding Application usage: opt-out requests for promotional communications, Google Advertiser ID, device traffic parameters and mobile carrier data, in-app traffic and browsing, device data, and operating system type.
      • We use this information to analyze the performance of our Application and your usage patterns.
      • The AppsFlyer Terms of Use and Privacy Policy also apply to our use of this tool.
    3. The Company reserves the right to use additional analytical tools.

Purposes of Using Information

  1. The Company will use your personal information, inter alia, for the purpose for which you provided it (for example, contacting the Company). In addition, the Company may use your personal information for other purposes, including:

·      Operating the Website, responding to your inquiries, resolving potential issues related to Website use, and other legitimate business purposes;

·      Improving the Company’s services;

·      Ongoing review, enhancement, and development of the Website and services;

·      Compliance with applicable laws, rules, regulations, judicial orders, policies, and internal procedures;

·      Enforcing and/or protecting the rights, property, and/or legal or other interests of the Company and/or third parties, and safeguarding the safety of Website users and any other related individuals or entities;

·      Defending against legal claims, demands, and/or other legal proceedings;

·      Data and statistical analysis, compliance with legal obligations, and investigation of complaints, suspected fraud, or misconduct.

Without derogating from the generality of the foregoing, it is hereby clarified that pursuant to agreements entered into between the Company and the Ministry of Transport and Road Safety, various obligations apply to the Company regarding information provided by you, including its retention, use, and the Ministry’s right to access and/or review such information.
  2. You are aware that the Company may be required by law to disclose information you provided during your use of the Website.

Direct Marketing

  1. As part of the services offered through the Website, you may register to receive updates regarding the Company’s services and products, including advertising information and marketing content, in a format approved by you. Upon registration for such updates, you will be asked to consent to the retention of information regarding the contact details you provided and your update preferences, and to the sending of such updates by the Company directly and/or via direct marketing service providers (including ActiveTrail). The provisions of Section B of Chapter B of the Protection of Privacy Law shall apply, and you may request at any time that we cease sending you such updates and remove you from the direct mailing list.

Transfer of Information to Third Parties

  1. The Company may share your personal information with third parties, including:

·      For the purposes set forth in this Privacy Policy;

·      Where the Company has obtained your consent, expressly or impliedly;

·      Where the Company believes in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect the interests of the Company or a third party relating to national security, law enforcement, litigation, criminal investigation, protection of life or physical safety, provided that such interest is not overridden by your fundamental rights and freedoms;

·      Disclosure of information regarding persons who threaten or may harm the Company and its services (such as user fraud, threats, or spam);

·      In cooperation with suppliers and service providers in the course of the Company’s ongoing activities;

·      Where disclosure is required by law and/or in legal proceedings and/or reporting to a competent authority;

·      In any dispute, claim, demand, or legal proceedings between you and the Company and/or anyone on its behalf;

·      In the event of a transfer of the Company’s activity (or part thereof), a merger, or the receipt of investment, provided that the third party undertakes to comply with the provisions of this Privacy Policy;

In addition, the Company reserves the right to share personal information with Afifi Group companies, including, inter alia, the Company, Nazareth Tours Ltd., and Epsilon Delta Ltd., as well as companies that may join this group in the future. All recipients of such information shall not be permitted to use or disclose personally identifiable information except on behalf of the Company or for Website operation purposes.
  2. The Company may occasionally share aggregated information with service providers. Such information does not contain data that reasonably enables personal identification and is used to develop programs and content of interest to Website visitors.

Information Security

  1. The Company takes reasonable measures, as customary and required by law, to help protect your information. In the event of any breach of security, confidentiality, or integrity of your personal information, the Company will act in accordance with applicable law and, where deemed appropriate or required, will notify you or publish a notice on the Website as soon as possible and without unreasonable delay, consistent with legitimate law enforcement needs and/or the need to assess the scope of the breach and restore system integrity.

The Company restricts access to personal information to individuals who require such access to process it on the Company’s behalf or to perform specific work (such as customer service representatives). Such individuals are subject to confidentiality obligations. However, no system or service is completely secure, particularly in an online environment.

The Company reviews its information collection, retention, and processing practices to ensure that only the personal information necessary to operate or improve the Website is collected, retained, and processed.   5. The Company makes reasonable efforts to prevent unauthorized data scraping from the Website and the Application. You acknowledge the risks associated with data scraping on the internet and agree to use the services with awareness of such risks.

Data Subject Rights

  1. Subject to applicable law, you may have the following rights with respect to personal information, in whole or in part:

·      The right to review personal information processed by the Company, in accordance with Section 13 of the Protection of Privacy Law;

·      The right to request the temporary or permanent cessation of processing of all or part of your personal information;

·      The right to object to processing of your personal information on grounds relating to your particular situation or for marketing purposes;

·      The right to request deletion of your personal information;

·      The right to request correction or updating of personal information found to be inaccurate, incomplete, unclear, or outdated, in accordance with Section 14 of the Protection of Privacy Law;

·      Any other right provided by the Protection of Privacy Law and the regulations promulgated thereunder.

Transfer of Information Outside Israel

  1. The Company may transfer personal information about you outside the jurisdiction of Israel and/or the European Union. The privacy and information security laws in such jurisdictions may be less comprehensive than those applicable in Israel and the European Union. In such cases, the Company will endeavor to take steps to ensure a similar level of protection. By providing personal information to the Company in accordance with this Privacy Policy, Website users consent to this Privacy Policy and to the collection and processing of personal information abroad.
